In this season of plenty, when roadside stands overflow with fresh produce, there are those in our communities still struggling to put a healthy meal on the table for their families. As in years past, New Buffalo Savings Bank has purchased chickens at the Berrien County Youth Fair poultry auction and donated them to the Harbor Country Emergency Food Pantry in Three Oaks. Bank staff donated several boxes of additional groceries.

 

If you would like to help, here is a shopping list of foods they need right now: Canned tomatoes, soups and fruit, jelly, cereal, ramon noodles, complete pancake mix, syrup, spaghetti sauce, boxes of pudding and jello, boxed potatoes, mustard, complete cake mixes, paper towels, tissues, and dish soap.
