2Big Hearts 5K Run / Walk another great success sponsored in part by New Buffalo Savings Bank

Over 400 participants enjoyed excellent weather for the 2 Big Hearts Foundation Annual 5K Walk / Run in Long Beach, Indiana, Saturday, May 29, 2010.

 

The event is held to heighten awareness of heart disease among women. The foundation works with the health care community to educate individuals and families about the causes and prevention of heart disease in women.

"I want to thank all those who participated, volunteered and sponsored our 2 BigHearts 2010 5K," said Jim Clarke of 2Big Hearts. "It was a thrill to see all the runners and walkers and families and friends.  The weather was fantastic and the event very competitive.  I cannot expressed how thankful we are to all who continue to help us execute our mission of raising awareness of heart disease being a women's number one health care risk.  I especially want to thank the La Porte Hospital Foundation for all their help in sponsoring the 5K."
